We Never thought this video would go viral!
A year and half ago we shared a silly behind the scenes video of me harvesting hydroponically forced tulips in my home at Little Farmhouse Flowers (in pajamas and slippers!). And of course, this was the video that took off.
And, we understand why it resonated with so many people. Most of our students don’t have access to big heated greenhouses. MOST of our students decide to set up indoor grow spaces, much like the one in this video in the humble basement of an 1870s farmhouse.
What resonated with people about this tulip forcing video?
The simplicity of the set up. (Folding tables, shop lights from the hardware store, some over turned crates to help keep things off the ground).
The volume of the plants that are being grown in a small space. (Linda can grow tens of thousands of tulips in this small area.)
The ease of harvest. (Hydroponic growing is a very clean and fast process. There is no soil to wash off the plants, no mud to muck through on your way to them.)
