Our first filmed virtual course launched in early 2022. We worked with a professional production company throughout the 2021 to fully capture the entire cycle of tulip forcing: from ordering our recommended varieties, to properly planting bulbs for forcing (both hydroponically and in soil), preparing a scheduled harvest program, setting up staging areas, designing the proper grow space, marketing, pricing, and selling. Our program includes all the information we collected over the last 15+ years of building our own successful tulip programs and feedback from the hundreds of students we’ve taught in person and via Zoom over the last 4 years. And there is a lot of material! Virtual students have access to all the same tools we love to share with our on-farm guests, like: our course book, tulip bloom calculator, detailed charts with variety-specific information, and more. We’ll teach you both soil-based tulip forcing and easy hydroponic growing techniques. As a virtual student, you’ll have unlimited access to the video lessons for reviewing them on your own schedule. You’ll also be connected with other students and your teachers via an optional online forum. We can’t wait to welcome you to class!

We love to welcome interested growers to join us for special hands-on, in-person programs each fall. For those of you who can manage a trip to Vermont, this is a great opportunity to see first hand how our facilities work and what the different processes look like up close. The in-person course includes the same course materials as the filmed course plus a farm tour, locally-sourced lunch, and hands-on learning experiences. The on-farm workshop, you’ll also comes with free access to the filmed course video lessons for review as you like. And you can opt in the facebook group to connect with other students via our private Facebook group. We typically offer a popular bulb sale during the on-farm workshop.
